Checking wiring and terminals
Check the connector between the road traffic information (RTI) control module and the GPS antenna. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the wiring between the GPS antenna and road traffic information (RTI) control module terminals #G1 and #G2. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.
HINT: If the GPS antenna is using more than 100 mA, the current is "shut off" in the control module and drops to 0 mA.
Remedy as necessary.
