Checking the wiring and component

HINT: The hands-free microphone is connected to the phone module (PHM) via a connector in the right-hand A-post.

• Ignition off.

  Check the cable between phone module (PHM) connector terminal A1 (#1) and hands-free microphone connector C terminal A. Check for an open-circuit. See Open circuit, permanent faults .

  Check the cable between phone module (PHM) connector terminal A11 (#11) and hands-free microphone connector C terminal B. Check for an open-circuit. See Open circuit, permanent faults .

  Try replacing the hands-free microphone if no fault is found in the wiring.

  Remedy as necessary.
