Checking contact resistance, oxidation and wiring
HINT: The hands-free microphone is connected to the phone module (PHM) via a connector in the right-hand A-post.
- Ignition off.
Check the hands-free microphone and phone module (PHM) connectors. Check for loose connections. See Loose connections (terminals) .
Check the cable between phone module (PHM) connector terminal A1 (terminal #1) and hands-free microphone connector H1. Check for an open-circuit. See Open-circuit, intermittent faults .
Check the cable between phone module (PHM) connector terminal A11 (terminal #11) and hands-free microphone connector H2. Check for an open-circuit. See Open-circuit, intermittent faults .
Try replacing the hands-free microphone if no fault is found in the wiring.
Remedy as necessary.

If the fault is intermittent, do not verify fault-tracing if the fault does not recur.
It is possible to view the information again, or leave fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
