Headlamp/Bulb, Replacing: Removal: Headlamps

• Switch off the ignition
• Set the switch for external lighting to zero
• Remove the bumper cover on the relevant side. Remove the clips for the grille. See Bumper, Front, Replacing (-2003), Bumper Front, Replacing (2004) or Bumper Front, Replacing (2005)
• Remove the upper screws from the guide for the bumper cover
• Remove the lower front screw. Slacken off the rear screw.

• Tension the guide. Remove the screw on the outside of the headlamp
• Carefully tension the casing. Remove the innermost screw from the headlamp
• Remove the uppermost screws from the headlamp
• Apply tape as protection above the casing at the headlamp.

• Carefully pry out the casing. Position the lower edge of the end of the casing on the guide. Hold the cover in position
• Release the headlamp
• Pull off the washer hose
• Separate and remove the connectors
• Remove the headlamp
• Remove the headlamp wiper motor. See Motor, Headlamp Wiper, Replacing .
