Checking the rain sensor

HINT: If the car has been in programming mode, or if the voltage has been switched off, the car must be locked and then unlocked again. This is to ensure that the rain sensor functions correctly.

Check the cable between terminal #4 on the control module and the park position switch. Check for an open-circuit and a short-circuit.

When the wiper is activated the park position switch should be grounded, 0 V. Otherwise it should be 12 V.

Remedy as necessary.
