Checking Components And Wiring
- Ignition off.
Check the cable (microphone signal) between carphone module A3 (terminal #3) and the handset D3(#34). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .
Check the cable (speaker signal) between carphone module A12 (12) and handset D4 (terminal #35). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .
Check the cable (power supply) between carphone module A13 (terminal #13) and handset D7(terminal #38). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .
Check the cable (cradle signal) between carphone module A14 (terminal #14) and handset D6 (terminal #37). Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults .
Check the cable (ground) between carphone module A2 (terminal #2) and handset D5 (terminal #36). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults .
Try replacing the handset.
Remedy as necessary.
