Checking contact resistance, oxidation and wiring
- Ignition off.
Check handset connector D and carphone module connector A. Check for loose connections according to Loose connections (terminals) .
Check the cable between carphone handset D6 (terminal #37) and carphone module terminal A14 (terminal #14). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults .
Check the cable between carphone module connector terminal A2 (terminal #2) and handset signal ground D5 (terminal #36). Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, intermittent faults .
Try replacing the carphone handset if no fault is found in the wiring.
Remedy as necessary.

If the fault is intermittent, do not verify fault-tracing if the fault does not recur.
It is possible to view the information again, or leave fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
