Checking the components and wiring
Check the following cables for a short-circuit to each other.
- Engine control module (ECM) terminal #A10 (#A10) and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) terminal #4
- Engine control module (ECM) terminal #A8 (#A8) and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) terminal #2
- Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) terminal #1 and the system relay.
Check the following cables for a short-circuit to each other.
- Engine control module (ECM) terminal #A11 (#A11) and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) terminal #3
- Engine control module (ECM) terminal #A8 (#A8) and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) terminal #2
- Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) terminal #1 and the system relay.
Try a new heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) if the above fault-tracing does not remedy the fault.
Remedy as necessary.
