Drive shaft, removing

Position mobile jack 9985972 under the outer section of the control arm.

• Remove the nuts and screws for the stub axle / spring strut.
• Turn the stub axle as much for turning to the left as possible.
• Remove the drive shaft from the hub.
• HINT: If the drive shaft sticks in the hub, tap it with a copper or rubber mallet. If necessary press the drive shaft out of the hub using a universal puller. 
• Hang the stub axle on the spring strut. Use hook 9995045 .

• Remove the bearing cap from the support bearing for the drive shaft.
• Remove the drive shaft.
• NOTE:

  Do not damage the seal in the gearbox.

• Install the seal plug 9995488 in the gearbox.
