Checking the Connector For the SRS Control Module

• Ignition off.
• Disconnect the battery negative lead.
• Expose and disconnect the connector from the SRS control module according to SRS control module .
  CAUTION: Avoid touching the control module terminal pins. There is a risk of static discharge which may damage the control module.
  • Check the cable terminals in the female connector and the SRS control module connector terminals.
  NOTE: The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
  • Install and disconnect the SRS control module connector. Check that the connector locks into the control module.
  1. The female and male connector halves are OK. Refer to Checking the voltage in the cable .
  2. The male terminal on the control module connector is defective. Refer to Replacing the component .
  3. The female terminal on the connector is defective. Refer to Replacing the component .
