Anti-Roll Bar: Removal
- Install Support Rails (999 5033), Mounting Bracket (999 5006) and Lifting Hook (999 5460). Lift up the engine slightly. See Fig 1 .
- Remove 5 nuts holding the steering gear to the sub-frame. See Fig 2 .
- Remove the oil pipe brackets bolts from the sub-frame at the front and rear edges.
- Position a mobile jack at the rear edge of the sub-frame. See Fig 3 .
- Remove on both sides, the 4 bolts holding the sub-frame brackets to the bodywork.
- Remove the 2 bolts together with the brackets and washers.
- Loosen the sub-frame bolts approximately 0.39-0.59" (10-15 mm). Lower the rear edge of the frame. Ensure that the steering gear bolts are released from the frame.
- Remove the anti-roll bar from the control arm. Remove the anti-roll bar cap. Remove the anti-roll bar.
CAUTION:
Manufacturer recommends replacing steering gear mounting nuts if originals are removed.
