Side-Impact Sensors

Side-impact sensors are located in each B-pillar. Sensors are made up of a microprocessor, interface and acceleration sensor. Sensor sends a signal to SRS control module when a side impact of sufficient force to deploy SRS is detected. SRS checks its internal sensor. If both sensors are triggered, control module will determine and deploy appropriate SRS components.
