Serial Communication

The ECM communicates serially with the following:

  1. Immobilizer

    The request and exchange of information between the ECM and the engine immobilizer.

  2. DLC

    The serial communication via the DLC, pin 7 is used for reading OBD II codes and data stream by a scan tool.
