Removal & Installation - Rear Engine Mount
NOTE:
Rear engine mount is
- Remove rear engine mount nut. See Fig 1.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the lower torque rod bolt on the transaxle side. Remove the rear engine mount bolt. See Fig 2.
- Support weight of engine with a jack. Remove 2 engine mounting bolts and slacken off the last bolt slightly. See Fig 3.
- Remove engine mount by lifting collision protection system and engine mount slightly. See Fig 4.
- Install new engine mount. Install the 3 engine mount bolts in the transaxle. Install engine mount nut. Tighten to specification. See Figure and Figure .
- Install and tighten NEW torque rod bolts.
NOTE:
Manufacturer recommends using NEW torque rod bolts during reassembly.
CAUTION:
Lifting engine more than 1 inch damages the inner CV joint on the left-hand side.
