Rear Brake Caliper: Reassembly

  1. Coat pistons, cylinder lining and "O" rings with brake fluid.
  2. Install "O" rings (5) in cylinder grooves. See Figure.
  3. Install pistons (4) in brake caliper, one first and then the other.
  4. Install new dirt guard (3). See Figure.
  5. Check that it fits in its groove in pistons and brake caliper.
  6. Install bleed nipple (7), tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Install brake caliper. Use new bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Install brake pipe on caliper.
