Removal & Installation (S90 & V90)
- Remove rear view mirror, dome lights and upper trim panels to remove headliner. Remove headliner from vehicle. Remove sun roof wind deflector. Remove sun roof. See SUN ROOF . Remove bracket from front edge of base plate. See Figure. Remove base plate retaining screws and lift out base plate over roof light wiring and out through passenger's front door on S90 (tailgate on V90).
- Remove motor from base plate. Remove gutter from base plate. Push the cable attachment forward so control mechanism is pointing upward. Press in the catch on the control mechanism and remove cable rearward. See Fig 3.
- Lubricate new cables with petroleum jelly. Install new cables and control mechanisms to base plate. Zero control mechanisms in frame. See Fig 4. If necessary, adjust rear locking catch so it is centrally located over opening in frame.
- Before installing motor to frame, motor must be zeroed. See ADJUSTMENTS . Use locking compound on gutter and control mechanism screws. To install, reverse removal procedure. Check operation of sun roof.
