Removal & Installation (C70, S70 & V70)

  1. Remove sun roof assembly. See SUN ROOF . Remove sun roof motor. See SUN ROOF MOTOR . Remove bracket, circlip and screw No. 3. See Figure. Slide mechanism forward to access cable holder.
  2. Remove 3 cable holder mounting screws. See Figure. Lift cable holder straight up, using care not to bend the cable holder sideways.
  3. Slide mechanism forward to expose cable. Remove cable from sleeve using pliers. See Figure. To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate new cables with petroleum jelly before inserting into cable sleeve. Adjust sun roof mechanism to proper location before installing motor. See Figure.
