Removal & Installation (Lower Seat Motors)

1. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Make note of radio code if anti-theft radio is installed. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove seat from vehicle. See POWER SEAT  . Remove control module from the bracket. See SEAT CONTROL MODULE  .
2. On motor No. 4, remove bracket screw at end of motor. On all motors, remove potentiometer. See Fig 1 . Cut tie strap holding wiring to seat control module. Remove motor from drive gear. To install, reverse removal procedure.
