Master Cylinder (LHD), Replacement: Preparations

Ignition off.

Remove the battery negative lead.

Clean around the master cylinder and place cleaning rags around it.

Depress the brake pedal several times to remove residual vacuum in the system.

Remove 

• the brake fluid from the reservoir.
• MT: the hose to the clutch cylinder, seal it off.
• the brake fluid level sensor connector.
• the connector support protective cap.
• the preheating hose.
• the vacuum hose from the power brake booster.
