Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition

Fig 1: Identifying Fuel Tank

The gas level sensor in the gas tank indicates the gas level to the control module and the gas level gauge. The resistance of the gas level sensor changes with the gas level. The sensor is supplied with a stabilized voltage of 5 V from the control module and is grounded together with the fuel level sensor (gasoline). The voltage across the sensor depends on the gas level. The sensor resistance and the signal to the combined instrument panel varies accordingly.

If the gas level increases, the resistance reduces and the voltage drops. If the gas level falls, the resistance rises and the voltage increases.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) DIM-1F is stored if the combined instrument panel registers that the signal from the gas level sensor is too low, (the resistance in the circuit is lower than 30 Ω) for more than 60 seconds.

Substitute Value

Signal to the LPG control module that the engine is not permitted to run on gas.
