Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

When the reset button on the mode selector for the trip computer is pressed, the three signals A, B and C are grounded to the combined instrument panel. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) DIM-16 is stored if the control module registers that the signals are too low for more than 25 seconds.

This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) cannot be stored in Bi-fuel cars.

Substitute Value 

None.

Possible Source 

• short-circuit to ground in the signal cables A, B and C
• the trip computer reset button is pressed in for more than 25 seconds
• the trip computer reset button is mechanically or electrically defective.

Fault symptom[s] 

• the trip computer displays faulty values.
