Replacing the component
Read off the engine coolant temperature (ECT) from the engine control module (ECM). The fault is probably in the combined instrument panel if the engine control module (ECM) has registered an engine coolant temperature (ECT) within its permitted range. Replace the combined instrument panel according to Driver information module (DIM), installation/removal, component replacement .
The fault is probably in the engine management system if the engine control module (ECM) has registered an engine coolant temperature (ECT) outside its permitted range. Search for the fault cause in this system.
Remedy as necessary.
