Removing Seat Belt (Inertia) Reel With Seat Belt Tensioner

WARNING:
The battery must not be connected when the ignition cable connector is being removed or installed.
WARNING:
Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected non-deployed seat belt tensioner. This could deploy it.
Remove:
- the SRS ignition cable connector from the seat belt tensioner (1).
- 1 seat belt (inertia) reel with seat belt tensioner screw (2).
WARNING:
Replace both seat belt (inertia) reels with seat belt tensioners after a collision. This applies even if no-one was sitting in the passenger seat.
Installation
When installing tighten the screw to 48 Nm .
WARNING:
The seat belt tensioner must never be taken apart, repaired or moved to another vehicle. For handling replaced seat belt tensioner, see Handling replaced SRS airbags / seat belt tensioners .
