Verification of brake system function: Verification

HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows.

Ignition off.
Reinstall connectors, components etc.
Press brake pedal down hard three or four times to remove vacuum in the power brake booster.
Push brake pedal down hard as if braking suddenly.

- Check that the brake pedal feels firm and that pedal travel is no more than 40 mm.
- Check that the brakes do not vibrate.
- Test drive car according to Test driving .

Check that brake function is normal and that the brakes do not squeal.

OK
VERIFIED: Troubleshooting has been completed.
NOT OK
VERIFICATION FAILED: The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed. Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
