Checking CD-ROM player function

• Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) from the VIDA station. Use it in stand alone mode and connect it to the data link connector (DLC) in the car.
• Ignition on.
• Insert a CD-ROM disc with map information into the CD-ROM player.
• Use System test function to test if the CD-ROM player is correctly connected. For more information about the System test, see System Test . The test can take up to approximately 1.5 minutes at longest.

  Check by testing if the CD-ROM player is connected or not.

Is the CD-ROM player correctly connected? 

• YES 

  Refer to Intermittent fault 

• NO 

  Refer to Checking for contact resistance and oxidation.
