Checking CD-ROM player function

• Ignition on.
• Insert a CD-ROM disc with map information into the CD-ROM player.
• Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) from the VIDA station. Use it in stand alone mode and connect it to the data link connector (DLC) in the car.
• Use System test function to test the CD-ROM player function (if the temperature is too high or not). For more information about the System test, see System Test . The test can take up to approximately 4 minutes at longest.

  Check that CD-ROM player is OK.

Is the CD-ROM player OK? 

• YES 

  Refer to Intermittent fault 

• NO 

  Refer to Check the CD-ROM player temperature
