Checking connectors and cable
Check the RTI control module and back-up (reversing) light switch (cars with automatic transmission: gear-shift position sensor) connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
check cable between the control module #B11 and back-up (reversing) light switch terminal 2 (for cars with automatic transmission: gear-shift position sensor terminal 5) for an open-circuit according to.Open-circuit, permanent faults , a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults and a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
Remedy as necessary.
