Connecting Special Tools

Connect special tools 9988695 to the steering wheel air bag module connector.
This is done so that the car can be driven without the SRS system of diagnosis registering a diagnostic trouble code.
HINT: If the ignition is switched on when neither the steering wheel air bag module nor the special tools are connected, a diagnostic trouble code registering an open circuit in the wires will appear. Erase any diagnostic trouble code.
