Checking CD-ROM player

NOTE:

If the CD-ROM disc is dirty or damaged the test will display that the CD-ROM player is not OK. Check/clean the CD-ROM disc, alternatively try this test with a new CD-ROM disc.

Ignition on.
Insert a CD-ROM disc with map information into the CD-ROM player.
Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) from the VIDA station. Use it in stand alone mode and connect it to the data link connector (DLC) in the car.
Use System test function to test CD-ROM player functions. For more information about the System test, see System Test .
Check that CD-ROM player is OK.

If the CD-ROM player function is now OK, the fault was due to the CD-ROM disc.

Is the CD-ROM player OK?

YES
OKAY: Troubleshooting has been completed.
NO
