Checking Back-Up (Reversing) Lamp Switch/Gear-Shift Position Sensor (1999-2004): Verification: Notes

HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:

• Ignition off.
• Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
• Ignition on.
• Put into back-up (reverse) gear.
• Read off the value for gear position.

  The value should be REAR when in back-up (reverse) gear and STILL/ADV in neutral/forward gear.

Is the value OK? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
