Gauges (240 Series)

Disconnect sending unit wire from gauge to be tested. Connect a 100-ohm test resistor between gauge terminal and ground. Gauge needle should be horizontal. If not, sending unit is defective. If gauge reading is incorrect, gauge is faulty.
