Intermediate Shaft: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate intermediate shaft and oil pump drive gear with oil prior to installation. Ensure end play is within specification. See INTERMEDIATE SHAFT SPECIFICATIONS  table.
  2. Install front cover with new gasket. Install new intermediate shaft and crankshaft oil seals. Install oil trap with new "O" ring.
