Piston & Rod Assembly: Notes
Piston must be installed on connecting rod so that notch in piston is aligned with identification area (number) of connecting rod. See Fig 1. Piston and rod assembly must be installed with notch on top of piston toward front of engine.
CAUTION:
DO NOT
reuse connecting rod bolts if length exceeds 2.187" (55.54 mm). Apply light coat of engine oil to connecting rod bolts prior to installation.
