Fuel Gauge Sending Unit (All Except 760 GLE)
- Remove sending unit from tank. Connect an ohmmeter across fuel sending unit leads. Move float up and down and check resistances.
- For all except 760 GLE, fuel tank sender should have a variable resistance between 230-330 ohms (empty tank) and 35-45 ohms (full tank). For 760 GLE models, see chart. On all models, resistance should vary smoothly as float is moved.
