Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the electric coolant pump. Refer to ELECTRIC COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the clip -5- open and disengage the coolant hose -3-.

-- Open the clamp -4- and remove the coolant hose -3- from the charge air cooler -2-.

-- Remove the intake manifold -1-. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the coolant hoses -2 and 3- from the charge air cooler -1- to do so loosen the clips -arrows-.

-- Release the connector and disconnect it. To do so pull the tab -arrow- slightly and remove the connector.

-- Unclip the wiring harness -1- from the charge air cooler -2- -arrow-.

-- When loosening the bolt -b- secure the charge air cooler -2- from falling out.

-- Remove the bolt -b- for the coolant pipe -1- out of the charge air cooler -2-.
