Instrument Cluster -KX2-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WITH ANALOG INSTRUMENTS: Removing
-- Position the steering wheel as far back and down as possible. Use the entire adjustment range of the steering column adjustment for this.
-- Switch off the ignition.
-- Move the ignition key outside of the vehicle to prevent the ignition from switching on unintentionally.
-- Unclip the upper steering column trim panel gap cover carefully from the mount on the instrument cluster, but do not remove completely. Refer to UPPER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the instrument cluster trim. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
- The Instrument Cluster -KX2- is engaged in the instrument panel. A greater amount of force is necessary for removal.
- If necessary, apply the Silicone Lubricant: D 007 000 A2 on the upper and lower retainers before dismounting the Instrument Cluster -KX2-.
-- Place the Hooks: T10538 -2- as shown on the right and left opening on the Instrument Cluster -KX2- -1-.
-- Loosen the Instrument Cluster -KX2- -1- with the second Hooks: T10538 -2- at the same time from the instrument cluster catches.
-- Pull the Instrument Cluster -KX2- out until the connectors -A- are accessible.
-- Disconnect the connector.
-- Pivot the retaining bracket in the direction of -arrow- and disconnect the connector.
-- Remove the Instrument Cluster -KX2- between the steering wheel and the instrument panel.
