Headlamp Housing Repair Kit, Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Screwdriver: VAG1624
CAUTION:
- Headlamp mounting tabs that have broken off can be replaced by installing the repair set. Completely replacing the headlamp is therefore not necessary.
- There are different repair kits for the left and right headlamps. Refer to Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).
- The removal and installation is described for the left side. Removing and installing on the right side is identical.
-- Remove the headlamp with the broken tabs. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the rest of the broken mounting tab on the headlamp housing.
-- Position the mounting tab -1- from the repair kit on the headlamp and secure with the bolts -2-.
-- Install the headlamp and align to the body contour. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Perform a function test.
-- Check the headlamp adjustment and adjust the headlamp if necessary. Refer to the appropriate service information
