Front Passenger Airbag Unit With Igniter, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Move the front seat as far back as possible.

-- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to Glove Compartment, Removing and Installing .

CAUTION:

Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.

Risk of injury.

- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.

-- Release the connector lock -1-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -2-.

Conditions

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 3-.

-- Remove the airbag unit -2- downward.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of injury if the airbag unit is triggered on error.

- Keep the cushion facing upward when setting the airbag unit down.

-- Set down the airbag unit.
