Coolant Expansion Tank, Removing And Installing: Removing

CAUTION:

The cooling system can be under pressure. Risk of scalding by hot steam and hot coolant.

Possibility of scalding the skin and other parts of the body.

- Wear safety gloves.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Reduce the pressure: cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a suitable towel and carefully open.

-- For a reduction in pressure in the cooling system, quickly open the coolant expansion tank cap -arrow- and close it.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the Engine Coolant Level Sensor -G32-.

-- Remove the wire -3- from the coolant expansion tank -2-.

-- Push the locking mechanism -arrow- forward and pivot the coolant expansion tank -2- out of the mount.

-- Clamp off the coolant hose -1- and -2- using Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm:3094  .

-- Remove the coolant hose -1-, for this, open the hose clamp.

-- Close the connection to the coolant expansion tank using a plug.

-- Turn around the coolant expansion tank.

-- Remove the coolant hose -2-, for this, open the hose clamp.

-- Drain the coolant expansion tank.
