Heating Element (PTC) 3 -Z132-, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
Condition
- The contact surfaces must be clean.
-- Clean dirty attachment points for the potential equalization cable. Refer to CONTACT SURFACES, CLEANING .
-- Connect the potential equalization cable -2- and tighten the nut -3-.
-- Attach the connectors -4- and -6-.
Fill the cooling system using the Cooling System Service Machine - TEXA:VAS 531 011 .
-- Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, FILLING WITH COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE STATION VAS 531 011 .
Continuation for all vehicles
Fill the cooling system using the Cooling System Charge Kit:VAS 6096 .
-- Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, FILLING WITH COOLING SYSTEM CHARGE KIT VAS 6096 .
Continuation for all vehicles
There is a risk of fatal injury due to high voltage.
Electrocution by direct contact or electric arc can cause severe bodily injury or fatal injury.
- Have a high-voltage technician (HVT) or a high-voltage expert (HVE) re-energize the high-voltage system.
