On these vehicles, the refrigerant circuit is flushed in two or four steps (flushing cycles). Refer to Refrigerant Circuit (A/C System Refrigerant Circuit, Cleaning).
For cleaning the refrigerant circuit it will be separated in several segments and flushed one after the other. The design of the different flushing circuits is described in the vehicle-specific service information. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit (Cleaning the A/C system refrigerant circuit).
Replace the refrigerant receiver at the heater core for heat pump operation after flushing. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit .
Replace the Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve -V424- after flushing. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit .
If the receiver/dryer or dryer cartridge is integrated in the condenser, then it cannot be replaced separately or is not available as a single part, and the condenser must be replaced. Refer to CONDENSER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING and the Parts Information.
