Bench Seat Rear Seat Backrest Locking Mechanism, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front trim panel. Refer to FRONT TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the outer trim panels. Refer to OVERVIEW - BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEATS .

-- Remove the cover and the backrest cushion. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to BACKREST COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the locking mechanism trim. Refer to LOCKING MECHANISM TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drill out the pop rivets -4- on the backrest release lever -1-.

-- Remove the backrest release lever -1- outward from the guide.

-- Loosen the clips -7- for the cable length adjustment to release the tension on the cable -2-.

-- Disengage the release cable -2- from the backrest frame -3-.

-- Unclip the release cable -2- from the bracket on the lower operating lever -5-.

-- Guide out the pin of the release cable from the lower release lever -5-.

-- Guide the release cable -2- out of the seat frame and backrest frame -3- and remove with the backrest release lever -1-.
