Seat Cover And Cushion, Separating

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Upholstery Clip Pliers:V.A.G 1634

-- Remove the seat cover and cushion. Refer to SEAT COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fold back the cover -1- over the cushion -2- until the cushion guides are accessible.

-- Cut the upholstery clips -3- in the cushion channel and separate the cover from the cushion.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Pull the seat cover -1- over the cushion -2-.

-- Secure the seat cover -1- to the mounts using the upholstery clips -3-.

-- Install the upholstery clips in the same position.

NOTE:

Use Upholstery Clip Pliers:V.A.G 1634 to install the new upholstery clips.

CAUTION:

Do not pull on the seat cover. The seat cover can rip.
Do not damage the seat cover.
