Passenger Occupant Detection System Control Module -J706-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

  • Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING WITH PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS .
  • Before handling airbag units (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the seat on the seat repair fixture.

-- Disconnect the connector -3- from the Passenger Occupant Detection System Control Module -J706- -1-.

-- Loosen the locking mechanism -4-.

-- Remove the Passenger Occupant Detection System Control Module -J706- -1- from the bracket -2- in the -direction of the arrow-.
