VOLKSWAGEN High Performance Genuine Engine Oil
VW Care and CFM Reimbursement
Effective January 1st, 2020, Volkswagen will require the use of Volkswagen High Performance Genuine Engine Oil in order to receive reimbursement for Warranty, VW Care and VW Carefree Maintenance claims. Only dealers who use Volkswagen High Performance Genuine Engine Oil are eligible for reimbursement. An approved list of Volkswagen High Performance Genuine Engine Oil is available on VWHub, Elsa and Elsa2Go.
Please note that the approved list of Volkswagen High Performance Genuine Engine Oil for use under warranty and maintenance claims is different from the list of oils that "Meet Quality Standards" (Technical Bulletin 17-19-01 - Volkswagen Engine Oil Quality Standards (U.S. Only)). While these oils do meet our specification, they are not Volkswagen High Performance Genuine Engine Oil and do not qualify for reimbursement on Warranty, VW Care or VW Carefree maintenance claims.
