Shock Absorber, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Loosen the wheel bolts.

-- Raise the vehicle.

-- Remove the wheel.

-- Secure both rear sides of the vehicle on the hoist lifting arms using the :T10038  .

  1. Tensioning Strap:T10038 
WARNING:

The vehicle could slide off the hoist if it is not secured.

Vehicles with Level Control System Sensor

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Remove the Left Rear Level Control System Sensor -G76- -2- bracket.

-- Position the : VAS6931  or :VAG1383A  under the transverse link and push lightly upward.

-- Remove the bolts -1- from the shock absorber -2-.

Vehicles with Stone Chip Protection

-- Remove the expanding rivets -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -2- for the stone chip protection -3-.

-- Remove the stone chip protection -3- from the lower transverse link -4-.

-- Remove the nut -1- and the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the shock absorber.
