Drive Axle, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Insert the drive axle.

-- Insert the bolt -1- for the tie rod -2-.

-- Insert the new bolt -4- and tighten the nut -3-.

-- Insert the old bolt -2- by installing a new bolt.

-- Tighten the new nut -1-.

-- Release the tension of the spring -4- and at the same time pay attention that the upper spring is seated on the body tab.

-- Remove the Spring Tensioner -3-.

Left Drive Axle for Vehicles with Level Control System Sensor

-- Install the Left Rear Level Control System Sensor -G76-. Refer to LEFT/RIGHT REAR LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM SENSOR -G76- / -G77-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Continuation for Both Sides

Only fasten the threaded connections on the wheel bearing housing in the curb weight position. Refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING, REAR AXLE .
