Transmission Mount, Replacing: Removing

-- Grease the threads of the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W-.

-- Install the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W- in the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V-.

-- Install the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W- all the way.

-- Remove the rear axle. Refer to Rear Axle, Removing and Installing .

-- Insert the Spindle: T10620/4 -L- into the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- Mark the installation position of the transmission mount -1- to the subframe -2- with a line -5-.

-- Slide the Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M- on the Spindle: T10620/4 -K-.

-- The recess at the Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M- later points to the nut for the Spindle: T10620/4 -6-.

-- Push the Spindle: T10620/4 -L- together with the Spindle: T10620/17 -K- in the transmission mount -1-.

-- Install the nut for the Spindle: T10620/4 -6- on the Spindle: T10620/4 -L-.

-- Align the Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M-. The nut for the Spindle: T10620/4 -6- is seated in the recess from the Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M-.

-- Slide Thrust Piece: T10620/16 -Q- on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- The open side of the Thrust Piece: T10620/16 -Q- points to the subframe -2-.

-- Push the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V- on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- The side with the hydraulic connection points to the subframe -2-.

-- Install the Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- Align the thrust pieces. The collar on the mount for the transmission mount on the subframe -2- is seated in the Thrust Piece: T10620/16 -S-.

-- The Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M- is seated on the outer edge of the transmission mount.

-- Tighten the nuts -U- and -6-.

-- The Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- must be installed flush on the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit -Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W-.

-- The guide from the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- must be seated in the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit -Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W-.

-- Align the tools again and tighten the Nut: T10205/8-2 -U-.

-- Connect the Foot Pump: VAS 6179 on the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V-.

CAUTION:

Tools might fall down and injury may occur.

- When pressing out the tool have a second technician secure it from falling.

-- Operate the Pneumatic/Hydraulic Foot Pump: VAS 6179 . Press out the transmission mount using the Pneumatic/Hydraulic Foot Pump: VAS 6178 .
