Motor Mount, Replacing: Removing

-- Grease the threads of the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W-.

-- Install the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W- in the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V-.

-- Install the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W- all the way.

-- Remove the rear axle. Refer to Rear Axle, Removing and Installing .

-- Install the Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- Install the nut for the Spindle: T10620/17 -4- on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- Insert the Spindle: T10620/4 -L- into the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- Slide the Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M- on the Spindle: T10620/4 -K-.

-- The recess -arrow- points to the motor mount.

-- Mark the installation position of the motor mount -1- to the subframe -2-.

-- Mark the installation position with a line -5-.

-- Slide the Spindle: T10620/4 -L- in the motor mount -1-.

-- The recess -arrow- points to the motor mount -1-.

-- Install the Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- The Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M- must be seated on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- The Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K- is turned in the correct position.

-- The Spindle: T10620/17 -K- may not later protrude over the recess -arrow- in the direction to the motor mount.

-- Hold the Assembly Tool - Spindle: T10620/17 -K- and the Assembly Tool - Spindle: T10620/4 -L- at an angle.

-- Push the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V- on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- The plunger from the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V- points to the Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- and to the motor mount -1-.

-- Position the Thrust Piece: T10620/12 -N- on the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V-.

-- The flat recess points to the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V-.

-- The deeper recess is on the subframe -2-.

-- The distance -a- in between the Thrust Piece: T10620/12 -N- and the line connections -arrow- at the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V- must be present.

-- Pivot the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-, Spindle: T10620/4 -L- and the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V- inward.

-- Position the Thrust Piece: T10620/12 -N- on the subframe -2-.

-- Position the Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M- on the motor mount -1-.

-- Install the nut -4- for the Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M-.

-- The Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M- must be seated on the Spindle: T10620/17 -K-.

-- The Spindle: T10620/17 -K- may not protrude over the recess Thrust Piece: T10620/14 -M- in the direction to the motor mount.

-- Install the Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- on the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V-.

-- Align both thrust pieces and make sure they are seated correctly.

-- Tighten the nut -U- an the nut -4-.

-- The Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- must be installed flush on the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit -Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W-.

-- The guide from the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut: T10205/8-2 -U- must be seated in the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit -Thrust Piece: T10205/13 -W-.

-- Align the tools again and tighten the Nut: T10205/8-2 -U-.

-- Connect the Foot Pump: VAS 6179 on the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178 -V-.

CAUTION:

Tools might fall down and injury may occur.

- When pressing out the tool have a second technician secure it from falling.

-- Operate the Pneumatic/Hydraulic Foot Pump: VAS 6179 . Press the motor mount outward using the Pneumatic/Hydraulic Foot Pump: VAS 6178 .
