Tie Rod, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Refer to Wheel, Removing .

-- Position the Engine/Gearbox Jack: VAS 6931  -B- with the Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox Support: T10337  -A- under the wheel bearing housing -1- and slightly press upward for support.

-- Remove the nut -4-.

-- Remove the bolt -2- from the wheel bearing housing -3-.

-- Pivot the front upper control arm -1- on the wheel bearing housing -3- upward.

-- Mark the position of the eccentric screw -4- to the subframe -2-.

-- Remove the nut -1- and the eccentric washer -5-.

-- Remove the bolt -4- from the subframe -2-.

-- Remove the bolt -6- from the wheel bearing housing -7-.

-- Remove the tie rod -3-.
